Thunder Bay Insurance Achievement Award
Each year, Thunder Bay Insurance donates a scholarship to Music Place to be given to a student of our choice. To complement this generous support of musical achievement, we developed the Thunder Bay Insurance Achievement Award which we present at our annual Year End Recital. The 2008 winner, Mia Beardy, was chosen because of her positive attitude toward her lessons which resulted in a steady and consistent progress. A student of both piano and voice, she showed distinct potential for becoming a successful musician. Mia is representative of the qualities we look for when choosing our annual winner.
